Anderby Creek is situated on the Lincolnshire Coastal Grazing Marsh which has extensive grassland landscapes rich in wildlife, intersected by a distinctive pattern of water courses. The Lincolnshire coast is full of wild birds and a paradise for bird watchers. Over the last years five nature reserves have been established within walking distance from Anderby Creek to re-establish habitat for wildlife.
Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve, just south of Skegness is well worth a visit to appreciate the diverse wildlife. Other nature reserves of Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe Dunes and Donna Nook are all within easy reach. Every autumn, at Donna Nook the seals return in their thousands to give birth on the mile wide beach.

Mablethorpe town beach to the north offers a range of activities and beach chalets are available to hire. You can walk to this or it is just a short drive from cabin. Sutton-on-Sea is a small coastal village with excellent sandy beaches, ideal for families and great for swimming. Much quieter than the neighbouring Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea has resisted over-development, contenting itself with attractive gardens and a children's paddling pool. Skegness's award-winning sandy beach is long and wide with numerous activities including donkey rides and the Fairy Dell paddling pool, re-opened in 2006 after extensive refurbishment. Other beaches include Ingoldmells South Beach, Chapel St Leonards, Moggs Eye and Cleethorpes.
The Lincolnshire Wolds encompasses woodland, rolling hills, arable farms and abandoned chalk pits which provide natural habitats for rare flowers and wildlife, along with providing stunning views to the east and west.
The market town of Alford is well worth a visit to see its famous landmark the Five Sailed Windmill - reputedly the finest windmill in the country. Alford Manor House also offers an historic treat. Louth is a cosmopolitan and historic hub of the Lincolnshire Wolds with diverse shops and markets.
You will find stately homes, gardens, farm shops, antique shops and ancient mills when exploring the old cultural landscape along the coast and into the hills behind.
