Twentysix is a perfect retreat for couples although the cabin sleeps up to five guests. The timber frame building is a modernist classic and was completely refurbished under the guidance of an award winning architect. It combines modernity, quiet design and a comfortable seaside feel.
You enter Twentysix from a private driveway and garden with a lake view into an open plan living space. This includes a fully fitted kitchen and dining table at one end and an airy seating area at the other, complete with a wood burning stove and sliding doors to secluded deck and garden. You can feed ducks and geese from the garden, sunbathe in the deck chairs provided and eat al fresco at the table. The main bedroom has a double size bed. The smaller bed room is fitted out with bunk beds, the lower being double size. There is also a spacious shower room.
Twentysix is an 'Anderby Chalet' which was launched by Vic Hallam in 1959. Vic Hallam Ltd. specialised in timber frame buildings and the company built over 200 of these chalets in Anderby, Devon, Cornwall and Germany. The building was refurbished to the highest possible standards of design and energy efficiency making it fit for the next 50 years.

The sun shone (most of the time), the kids dunked themselves in the sea and we picked up shells on the beach.
We've been here once before when our eldest was one, so it's nice to bring him back (now 10 years old!) and introduce this beautiful spot to our 7 year old, thank you so much. 25th-27th May 2022
Arrived in pitch black to be greeted by the east coats best kept secret. No 26 is a slice of perfection, exceeding our expectations and we found everything we needed to hand. A great place to unwind and channel your 'inner hygge' we absolutely loved the silence and views. Already booked a return visit-10 out of 10.25-28th November 2021
Thank you for a wonderful week at 26, the cabin is everything we hoped-stylish and comfortable, it has everything we need. We loved watching the wildlife from the deck, please don't change a thing and we will keep our fingers crossed that Anderby Creek remains unspoilt. 26 Aug-2nd Sept 2022
We had a fantastic time. The cabin is beautiful, one of the nicest places we have stayed in, thank you. 10-13th March 2021
A fantastic retreat from the bustle of everyday life, everything is covered for you in this accommodation, so well done to the owners-'the devil is in the detail'. I will miss the view out on to the lake with a cup of tea. overall a smashing place and we all agree we shall miss it, well done again-(if you ever think of selling!) 17-22 October 2020
